This flexible medium voltage shunt was custom fabricated for a power distribution customer in Ohio. The customer supplied drawings called out a finished size of 1.5″ wide, by 16″ long, and tolerances of +.060″/-.0″. The shunt was composed of tin copper tube, and tin copper braid, fabricating consisted of cutting the braid to length, tube flaring, as well as forming, assembly, and tin plating. The components were pressed on our 200-ton press with die, with the first article being provided to the customer for approval. We ultimately fabricated 400 of the shunts for our customer in Ohio within two weeks. For more information, see the table below or contact us directly.
